Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Pages use headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers can navigate them.
- Links, buttons, tabs and form fields work with a keyboard and show a visible focus outline.
- Animated examples have text descriptions. The example at the top of the page stops switching views while you hover over it or move into it with the keyboard.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the animations stop and the examples show their finished state.
- The layout adapts to phones and to zoomed text without sideways scrolling, and it follows your device’s light or dark setting.
- Links that open a new tab say so to screen readers.
Known limitations
- Several animated examples run continuously. They stop when your device is set to reduce motion, but the page does not yet have its own pause control.
- The animated network diagram is described in text, but its moving details are not available to screen readers one by one.
- The site links to other organizations’ websites, which may not meet the same standard.
How we have checked
We have tested the site in a current Chromium-based browser at phone and desktop sizes, in light and dark mode, and with reduced motion. It has not yet been independently audited.
